Route of the Fernandine Churches

Discover the city through these temples

Ten are the churches that are part of this heritage tour, which has its departure in the Mosque-Cathedral. The route is integrated by seven fernandinos temples located in the Axerquía and declared of Cultural Interest: San Pablo, San Francisco, San Pedro, Santiago Apostle, San Lorenzo, San Agustín, Santa Marina and San Andrés. There is the peculiarity that all these churches remain open to worship and that they have not only preserved their medieval legacy but also the artistic contributions that are subsequently developed. To them is added the parish of Carmen de Puerta Nueva which, having the altarpiece of Valdés Leal, constitutes another relevant heritage manifestation of our city. Also, due to its patrimonial interest, the Basilica of the Juramento de San Rafael has been included in this route.

Access to this monumental itinerary will be free with the entrance to the Mosque-Cathedral.
